Welcome to The 'Dartford Larder' Kitchen – Cook, Learn, Grow

Dartford Larder isn’t just about affordable groceries — it’s about helping you make the most of what you have. That’s where our Larder Kitchen comes in.

We offer hands-on, practical cooking classes designed to build confidence, develop skills, and make everyday cooking simple, tasty, and budget-friendly.

What We Offer

Whether you're new to the kitchen or want to learn new ways to save time and money, our classes are for everyone. You’ll learn how to:

  • Cook in batches to save money and reduce waste

  • Master air frying for quick, healthy meals

  • Prepare simple, nutritious dishes on a budget

  • Make the most of the food you get from the Larder

  • Build confidence using different kitchen tools and techniques

Our sessions are relaxed, friendly, and led by experienced volunteers who are here to support you every step of the way.

Grow Your Own – Get Involved with Our Allotments

Want to take it one step further? You can also get involved in growing your own food at one of our community allotment spaces. Learn how to plant, grow, and harvest fresh produce, no matter your experience level.

From seed to plate, we’ll show you how growing your own food can be simple, rewarding, and a great way to cut costs while eating fresh.

Why Join a Class?

Cooking at home doesn’t need to be stressful or expensive. With the right skills and know-how, you can create delicious meals for you and your family — and feel good doing it.
Whether you're cooking for one or feeding a household, we’ll help you plan ahead, shop smarter, and waste less.

How to Get Involved

All classes and growing opportunities are open to Dartford Larder members, and spaces are limited, so early sign-up is encouraged. Keep an eye on our noticeboard or social media for upcoming dates and times.

If you’re not yet a member, it’s easy to join — just bring proof of Dartford residency and we’ll guide you through the rest.
